On November 17th, 2025 we celebrated our 50th birthday!  We aired special promos recorded by 30 of our amazing volunteers and celebrated on social media with the community!

Founded by blind individuals who knew there was a need to deliver information to those who couldn’t just simply pick up the paper, we became the first reading service in the state then called The Central Ohio Radio Reading Service.

Fast-forward to 2025 and we have a small, dedicated staff and over 120 volunteers reading a variety of printed materials. VOICEcorps listeners depend on not only the information such as voters guides and weather reports, but also the entertainment value we provide.

• Over 10,000 hours read live and recorded annually
• Services across 68 Ohio counties
• Regarded as an industry leader among other reading services
• Over 200 years of combined professional experience leading VOICEcorps’s programming, broadcasting operations, marketing, and development
