I started here at VOICEcorps this past August and I come to work every day excited to collab with the team and talk to the volunteers! I just wanted to thank everyone for being kind to this millennial.  

I am an avid reader and will be sharing many quotes over the coming newsletters. This one is from the book The Middle of the Night by Riley Sagar and might give some insight into my personality:

Every December, I re-read two books that have been very important to me as a way to brace for the challenges of the upcoming year. They are Meditations by Marcus Aurelius and Discourses by Epictetus. Here are two quotes from those books that I find especially profound.

“Do not be wise in words. Be wise in deeds” – Marcus Aurelius.

“It is not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.” – Epictetus.
